Disease: A viral liver infection spread through blood and body fluids.

Symptoms: Fatigue, jaundice, dark urine, liver damage.

Vaccine: Hepatitis B Vaccine (Recombinant vaccine)

Dose Schedule:

  • Primary series: Three doses given intramuscularly at 0, 1, and 6 months.
  • Accelerated schedule: Four doses given at 0, 1, 2 months, and a fourth dose at 12 months for those needing quicker protection.
  • Booster: Generally not needed for healthy individuals with normal immune status.

Side Effects: Soreness at injection site, fever.

Risks if Contracted: Chronic liver disease, liver cancer.
